GP Services
GP consultations are 15 minutes and can be held in person, by phone, or via video call. If you have more than one issue to discuss, please book a double appointment to allow enough time.
Annual health checks are a proactive way to review your overall health and wellbeing. During the appointment, your GP or nurse will assess key areas such as blood pressure, lifestyle factors, and any existing conditions, and may recommend tests or screenings if needed.
These checks are a good opportunity to identify any potential concerns early and to make a plan to support your long-term health.
Repeat prescriptions can be requested through the Health365 patient portal for medications you are already taking. Please allow up to 3 business days for your request to be reviewed and processed by your GP.
Regular GP check-ups may be required to ensure your medications remain safe and appropriate.
In some cases, 12-month prescriptions may be available for certain medications – please book a face-to-face GP appointment to discuss this with your GP.
View our Repeat Prescription Policy here.
Driver licence medicals are required to confirm that you are medically fit to drive. During the appointment, our team will complete the necessary health checks and documentation required by NZTA.
Please book a 15-minute nurse appointment followed by a 30-minute doctor appointment to allow enough time for the full assessment.
We can carry out minor surgery procedures for a range of small medical concerns. These may include biopsies and excisions, or other minor procedures that can be safely managed in the clinic.
Please contact reception to book after your initial GP consultation. Do not book online.
Liquid nitrogen treatment (cryotherapy) is used to treat certain skin lesions. The treatment is quick and performed in the clinic by our clinical team.
Your doctor or nurse will assess the area and advise whether liquid nitrogen treatment is suitable for you, as some lesions may require further assessment or a different type of treatment.
Immunisations help protect you, your whÄnau, and the wider community from a range of serious illnesses. At Four Kauri Medical, we provide routine childhood and adult immunisations as well as vaccinations recommended for travel or specific health needs.
Our nurses can also answer any questions you may have and help you stay up to date with the recommended immunisation schedule. Contact our nursing team at nurses@fourkauri.co.nz with questions.
Or find out more here: New Zealand’s National Immunisation Schedule
To book: Please contact reception to book, to ensure your immunisation is in stock.
We can treat a range of minor accidents and injuries, including cuts, sprains, minor burns, and other non-life-threatening conditions. Our team will assess your injury and provide the appropriate treatment in the clinic where possible.
Following an initial GP consultation, your follow-up wound dressing care with our nurses is free under ACC. If, during your care, the nurses determine that a GP review is required to support healing or provide medication, a GP consultation fee or prescription charge will apply.
If your injury requires additional care that we cannot provide onsite, we can refer you to the most appropriate service. If youâre unsure whether we can treat your injury, please call reception and our team will be happy to advise.
Long Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC) is a highly effective, long-term method of preventing pregnancy. Options such as contraceptive implants and intrauterine devices (IUDs) provide reliable contraception for several years and can be removed at any time.
Our doctors can discuss the options available and help you choose the method that best suits your needs. In most cases, LARC is free for patients who are eligible for NZ healthcare.
Please book an appointment with Dr Gina or Dr Jean Peterson for an IUD consultation.
We offer a range of monitoring and diagnostic tests to help assess your heart, lung, and overall health. These tests support your doctor in diagnosing conditions and tracking your wellbeing:
- Body composition scan
- ECG
- Spirometry
- Blood pressure checks
- Diabetes Annual Check Ups
- Cardiovascular Disease Risk Assessment
Cervical screening helps detect early changes in the cervix that could lead to cervical cancer. Regular screening is an important way to protect your health, as changes can often be found and managed early.
Screening can be done by a doctor or a nurse, or the majority of the time it is a self-swab at the clinic. If you are due for screening, you will receive a reminder to book your appointment.
We offer travel health advice and immunisations to help you stay safe and well while travelling overseas. Dr Rebecca runs a dedicated travel clinic, providing personalised advice based on your destination, planned activities, and medical history.
We recommend booking your travel consultation well in advance of your trip to allow time for any recommended vaccinations or medications.
We provide infusion and injections treatments for patients who require certain medications to be administered this way. These treatments can be carried out by our nursing team.
Please contact reception to book after your initial GP consultation. Do not book infusions online.
You can view your lab results through the Health365 patient portal once they have been reviewed by your doctor. We do not routinely contact patients for normal results. If any follow-up is needed, your doctor will contact you to discuss the next steps.
If you would like help understanding your results, you can schedule an appointment with your GP or one of the nursing team. Or you can book a free consultation with Giselle, our qualified health coach to talk through your results, and work with you to develop a health plan suited to your lifestyle.
