Dr Martyn Eade

Hi everyone. My name is Dr Martyn Eade and I am one of the "older brigade" of GPs at Four Kauri Medical Centre! I graduated from Auckland Medical School in 1985 and I have been a GP at Four Kauri since Easter 1993 (over 30 years - and still counting!)

I consider Mt Albert my official "stomping ground" - having originally moved here in 1970 at the tender age at 9. I was educated at Edendale Primary and Balmoral Intermediate before moving to Mt Albert Grammar School (our 3 sons have also been through Gladstone Primary School and MAGS).

We have lived locally since we returned from overseas in 1988 and we have been in our current house since 1996. We have 3 sons (who have now all "flown the coop") and recently we have welcomed 2 grandsons!

Outside of medicine, I enjoy movies, reading trashy thrillers, and playing golf enthusiastically! 

I enjoy the variety and continuity of General Practice, and have a special interest in Minor Surgical Procedures and in Medicine for the Elderly. I spend 10 hours a week providing medical care in several rest homes and nursing hospitals locally.
